Nidra Immersion
Learn all about Yoga Nidra and how to integrate it in your daily life
INTRO
This immersion is a two day intensive workshop that consists of looking into the different structures of Nidra, its history, philosophy, and what happens to the brain functions and consciousness when it’s in the deep Nidra state.
On day 2, her practice will be accompanied by the sounds of Frank Klank’s singing bowls.
WHAT WE’RE GOING TO DO
Yoga Nidra is a state of consciousness between waking and sleep. The Nidra practice can be used to simply help remove tensions and relax a busy mind, or it can be used to delve deeper and observe our greatest resistances, needs and purposes; a practice where we can access our subconscious or unconscious mind with open awareness and plant seeds that can have a positive bearing on our everyday personal lives.
Due to this privileged access to the deep consciousness, however, the Nidra practice should always be properly guided in a safe environment with the support of a knowledgeable and experienced practitioner like Cristina.
WHAT YOU’LL EXPERIENCE
At the end of the immersion, you have gained a greater understanding of these different branches of Nidra and their blissful effect on your body and mind.
You will have participated in several intensive practice sessions, learning in conjunction how to build your own practice and integrate the Yoga Nidra experience into your everyday personal life. In the immersions you will experience 8 to 12 Nidras, depending on the evolution and requirements that arise.
FOR WHOM?
For everyone who is interested in diving deep into the practice of Yoga Nidra and is curious how to integrate Nidra in their daily life.
Please note: in these 2 days you will not obtain the tools to teach Nidra. For this Cristina has another Module on her program that is a full Yoga Nidra Teacher Training.
YOUR FACILITATORS
Cristina Guerra has been a yoga practitioner and holistic therapist for 15 years. She first began teaching yoga in 2014 and has been hosting classes and workshops in yoga and meditation in various locations around South-East Asia, Australia and the Netherlands. She also studied Restorative Yoga and Yoga Nidra, Krya Yoga and Tantric Meditation, Kids Yoga, Counseling, Art-Therapy, Reiki, Quantum-Touch, Multidimensional Therapy and Channeling. As a certified yoga teacher and therapist, with many differing experiences in the field of mental health and emotional well-being, she has experience working with groups and individuals between the ages of 13 and 70 years old. Now based in Portugal, her home country, it is her intention to help clients listen to their inner selves and live the life they have been wishing for.
Frank Mannens, better known as Frank Klank (“Sound’ in Dutch), is a sound artist, which has been his passion for more than 20 years. Playing the singing bowls is something he learned himself, trusting his intuition and knowing that every sound has a purpose. He takes participants on a journey inwards, with respect for what is happening in everyone’s body and giving space to silence.
In addition to the meditative singing bowl concerts, he also collaborates with yoga teachers like Cristina and other musicians. You can listen to his singing bowl meditations on Spotify, Soundcloud and Insight Timer.
