Imagine falling asleep in a sea of sound. In the centre of the room stand twelve gongs, played by experienced gong players, filling the space with soft, undulating frequencies that take you deeper than your regular night’s sleep ever does. You lie in this sea of frequencies and all you have to do is receive. That is Sonic Sleep – a night where your body truly gets the chance to reset.

WHAT IS IT?
Sonic Sleep is an overnight immersion in sound. From 8 PM to 8 AM you stay in the beautiful chapel of the Eemklooster in Amersfoort, where you literally sleep in a bath of deep sounds and frequencies. Think of it as a sleepover for adults – but one where you wake up rested and recharged.

We start the evening together with an opening ceremony to arrive and settle in. From 10.30 PM we play the gongs – soft, undulating sounds that communicate with your body on a cellular level. All you have to do is lie down, let go and sleep.

CAN I ACTUALLY SLEEP WITH ALL THAT SOUND?
Yes, you really can. The sounds don’t work against your sleep, they work with it. The deep frequencies bring your nervous system into a state of rest that you don’t normally reach so easily. Most people actually fall into a deeper sleep than they do at home.

WHAT TO BRING?
Your own mat, a comfortable duvet or blanket, pillow and something comfy to sleep in. We take care of the rest.

THE LOCATION
The Eemklooster in Amersfoort is exactly the place you want to be for a night like this. The calm, the space, the atmosphere – everything is right. There are only 40 spots, so when it’s full, it’s full.
